Sempra Energy Utilities / Southern California Gas
Pipeline Safety Enhancement Program and Major Projects Project Management Office Support
Southern California Gas’ (SoCalGas) Pipeline Safety Enhancement Plan Program (PSEP) is a comprehensive program to ensure the safety of its natural gas transmission pipeline system and includes environmental compliance, valve upgrades and replacements, pipeline replacement and hydrostatic pressure testing. E2 is supporting SoCalGas operations by providing program management, construction management, engineering and inspection services for projects valued at more than $70 Million.
E2’s project controls staff support Sempra in budget development, cost estimating, scheduling and document controls. During this process, schedules are validated for logic, accuracy, and completeness and current physical percent complete is evaluated where possible. Milestones are identified and tracked. As the budgeting and schedule validation work is completed, E2’s project controls specialists routinely integrate the latest cost and schedule data to generate resource loaded, milestone, and cost forecasting reports to assist in the management of the work. E2’s Change Management staff, regulatory support staff and business analysts support PSEP’s internal and external reporting efforts including documenting project and program changes, progress metrics development and reporting, responding to RFI’s from CPUC, ensuring compliance with existing processes and suggesting areas of improvement.
